Insurance, Rates, & Payments
Changing Tides Therapeutic & Consultative Services is paneled with several commercial insurance companies. This varies by therapist and insurance provider. For accepted insurances, our therapists will submit claims following each session and you will be responsible to pay for any portion not covered by your plan, to include a co-pay, deductible, etc. Co-pays will be collected by our therapists at the time of service.
Your insurance company may cover all or some of our services. For insurance plans not included above, Changing Tides may be considered an out-of-network provider. If you have out-of-network benefits, you will pay the full rate (see below) at each session and our therapists will provide an invoice once monthly. It is your responsibility to submit out-of-network claims and all charges not covered by the insurance company are your responsibility, to be collected at the time of service.
We strongly encourage prospective clients to contact their insurance provider prior to scheduling an appointment, to access details of your mental health benefits. We have provided some questions below to help guide this discussion:

-
What are the policy’s benefits for mental health?
-
Are there specifics on the number of sessions allowed per week/month, session time limits, etc.?
-
Is there a co-pay, and if so, how much is it?
-
Is there a deductible, and if so, how much is it?
-
Is Changing Tides Therapeutic & Consultative Services, LLC in network?
-

The Good Faith Estimate calculates the maximum annual cost for therapy, specifically for clients receiving services from out-of-network providers. Changing Tides Therapeutic & Consultative Services will provide you with a written Good Faith Estimate.
